Sam is a strategist, brand builder and community practitioner committed to cultivating the conditions for profound change. Whether through public urban spaces or digital environments, she is passionate about building bridges that inspire trust, discourse, collaboration and respect between companies and the folks they serve.
Raised by a mother in trend forecasting and a father in artist management, Sam is a creative interdisciplinary at heart, a champion for entrepreneurship and personal expression. In each of her past roles, for large organizations and early-stage startups alike, she has pioneered a culture of collective vision and action, resulting in products, experiences, marketing programs and big ideas that move us all forward.
Sam served as Vice President, Head of Brand for co-living developer The Collective, where she was responsible for a pipeline of progressive locations designed with and for the surrounding neighborhood. Prior to that, she was on the core global repositioning team for iconic mobility brand MINI (BMW Group), responsible for spearheading the dual launch of A/D/O and URBAN-X, a creative space and civic tech accelerator that have empowered thousands of designers and entrepreneurs across the globe.
Sam also founded the strategy practice at Berlin-based creative transformation agency KKLD, where she drove significant brand growth for clients like Baume & Mercier, Bayer, BMW i, Panasonic, and Swarovski and advised on communication strategy for leaders at the European Green Party and Little Sun, Studio Olafur Eliasson’s solar lamp for the developing world.
In her spare time, she enjoys deeply understanding and nourishing the local community that surrounds her, wherever that may be. In the past, that was Berlin (where she ran supper club Krauted Haus) and Brooklyn (where she contributed to building mutual aid group Bed-Stuy Strong). Currently, that’s in the United Arab Emirates, where she is working with government entities as a Strategy Director with SYPartners.
